Why we started this

The Irish market has been in a strange holding pattern for the best part of a decade. Domestic operators sat outside a proper licensing framework, offshore brands filled the gap, and no one seemed to write for the actual player sitting in a two-bed in Rathmines wondering whether the operator advertising in the Dublin bus shelter would ever return the €200 they had just deposited. We started Synch.ie because we were that player, twice, and neither of us wants anyone else to spend a fortnight arguing with a Curaçao operator's complaints desk over a document reupload.

What separates this site from the two dozen affiliate lookalikes that occupy the first page of Google for “best Irish casinos” is small and simple. We test everything ourselves, we publish the deposit and withdrawal timestamps, we document what happens when the bonus terms bite, and we do not, under any circumstances, accept payment to move a brand up the list. The commission model on this site pays us the same royalty whether an operator sits at rank one or rank ten, and the ranking algorithm is defined in How we rate in enough detail that a determined reader could reproduce the scores from our raw test data.

Editorial independence

We earn commission when readers sign up at a casino through our links. That commission is a fixed percentage of the operator's net revenue from the player, agreed in a standard affiliate contract, and it does not change based on our ranking. No operator on this site has paid for placement or veto rights over copy. Where a brand has requested changes to a factual claim, we have either amended the copy (if the correction was accurate) or held our position and documented the dispute in the review changelog. We do not publish sponsored content and we do not accept “featured” slots.

The list of operators we review is deliberately short, five brands as of July 2026. We would rather run five thorough re-verifications every quarter than maintain a database of forty operators we have never actually deposited into. When we add a brand, we add it because our own testing has cleared it, not because a business-development email arrived that week.
